It is in the spirit of this healthy and formative principle that GAIA proposes a program of Environmental Education, which mainly consists of introducing river and lake ecosystems and their interaction with the historical, cultural and socio-economic evolution of populations, also using special inflatable boats (rafts), which will offer the opportunity to directly elaborate, from a privileged point of view, the notions acquired during theoretical lessons.

Areas rich in archaeological evidence, abbeys, medieval historic centers, and wildlife such as the wolf, the golden eagle and the peregrine falcon, the chamois and the deer.

Just a few kilometers away are the most famous Umbrian locations: Norcia, Cascia, Foligno, Spoleto, Assisi, Todi and Perugia.

Nearby, Castelluccio di Norcia, with its splendid and immense plain at 1,500 meters in altitude, dominated by the enchanting Mount Vettore, where Europe’s most renowned flying school for hang gliding and free flight is located, or the beautiful Lake Fiastra.

The green heart of Italy among mountains, lakes, rivers, olive groves, and characteristic cities, where over two thousand years of civilization have left lasting traces.

Umbria combines sporting opportunities in pristine nature with special events and cultural heritage in places that are already worth visiting in their own right.

Rich in sanctuaries, Romanesque churches, Gothic cathedrals, basilicas and ancient palaces, testifying to the great artistic production of the region.

There are numerous exhibitions, theatrical performances, festivals, musical shows and events that take place, especially in summer, among which the most famous are the Festival of Two Worlds in Spoleto and the Umbria Jazz Festival in Perugia.
