Laser tag or lasergame is a team-based game based on military simulation. The activity simulates, using specialized equipment, combat with faithful replicas of firearms, derived from softair ASG weapons, in various environments, from urban to wooded areas, where opposing teams must capture predetermined objectives.
The games or combats have predetermined objectives that can include:
- The capture of one or more enemy flags. The capture of enemy bases ("capture the flag").
- The reconnaissance of a specific game area in search of enemy positions.
- Elimination of a specific member of the opposing team (VIP or leader)
- Escorting the VIP to a certain point avoiding his capture and/or elimination.
- The elimination of the entire opposing team ("death match").
- etc.
These objectives are usually carried out by both teams alternating attack and defense to make the game as fair as possible. There are also missions that follow the course of a story and evolve depending on the victory of one team or the other, making the game even more realistic and exciting.
